Well the rains stopped and the skies cleared up and we had a perfect day for our 2nd annual Mountaindu Off Road Duathlon. Be sure to come to the mountains and take a ride on the newest and greatest mountain bike trails in the southeast.

The second year for this event, we have decided to switch it up a little and have made it a bike-run-bike race. Similar to last year’s event, the bike course is on the popular fast and flowing Jackrabbit Mountain Bike and Hiking Trails, with the addition of the High Point trail for a good climb. The run on the adjacent mountain trail may only be two miles in length, but makes up for for the short distance with elevation changes. Located just 5 miles from Hiawassee, GA and 8 miles from Hayesville, NC. off beautiful Lake Chatuge, this event is bound to become a classic.

General directions to Jackrabbit:
Find your way to Hiawassee, GA. At the main light in town (at McDonalds) turn onto hwy 75 headed toward NC. Jackrabbit is about 5 miles up the road on the left hand side. Look for my white Triathlon Club signs. Coming from the NC side? About 5 miles east of Hayesville on hwy 64, look for state road signs saying "Jackrabbit Campgrounds" follow the signs to the race. Look for our club signs.
