If you have a young racer that's not ready for the big time, this will be a good event for them.

The kids will love this race because it will give them the thrill of doing a full triathlon just like mom and dad do; and mom and dad will love it because it is so safe. The lake swim goes along the shore line and never gets into deep water. Parents are also welcome to swim with the kids if they think it will help and give them confidence in the water. The bike and run part of the course never goes on public roads, but instead go along the paved walking and jogging trails in the park and campgrounds. This is a great starter race for the kids from ages 6-15.
